Boiling Red sale signs
I walked into the GAP today and reignited one of my biggest qualms with major retail labels. It all starts in the doorway… I look to the right- all women’s clothing- one red sale sign. I look to the left- all men’s clothing- two blue regular price signs. If you know the gap, you’ll recall the “cell” designed cubes of different types of clothes. All the way down the store there were red sale signs in the right and none on the left. The men’s sale stuff consisted of socks, tshirts and ugly fuzzy pants- all located at the last left hand cell. The women that I came with were stopping at each sale station- all of them, while I was looking at price tags if things that I might consider buying thinking – why?!?Why is this acceptable? Being a bigger guy, I already have to look at the end if the rack for my size… Please don’t make me sigh when I finally get there because I can’t afford it! I’m so mad about this issue! I’m in the mall now, venting! Guys- get angry. I’m going to ask Obama to help me too.

New semester
I’ve started a new semester at UAB. I’m taking more courses that are exciting to me and relieving stress at the same time! I even have one class on smartphones and wireless technology! I’m contributing to a blog there as well. (the picture)
In other news, I will not be singing in the UAB choirs this semster for a long list of reasons… Best to not go down that road.
The meat of this post is- I’m happy and busy.
Japan!
I will be traveling to Japan this next summer and I’m getting myself prepared. I went to Sekesui Japan tonight to get my favorite sushi and a new favorite Japanese beer.
Update: I ended up buying a six pack for home.
Anthem
I think that the Japanese national anthem is so much prettier than ours.
“May thy peaceful reign last long! May it last for thousands of years, until this tiny stone will grow into a massive rock and the moss will cover it all deep and thick”.
Camp!
We are midway here at the Birmingham Boys Choir camp 2008! My rehearsal space is beautiful and the boys are great. We played warball last night and today’s first sectional was great!
